So, I’m diving into the world of tufting, and it’s surprisingly tricky to get started! Last weekend, I tried borrowing my friend’s gun, but it kept jamming halfway through the design. Turns out, not all gear’s made the same! Now I’m on a hunt for a solid tufting gun that’s smooth and reliable for a beginner like me. Anyone got tips on what works well for y’all? Something that doesn’t break down mid-project would be ideal! Also, any advice on the best yarn types would be awesome. Appreciate any pointers!

I totally get your frustration—getting into tufting can be tricky at first, but once you find the right gear, it makes a huge difference! I’ve been tufting level devil for a while now, and I had the same issue with my first gun. It kept jamming, and it was a real hassle, especially when I was just starting out.

Hey there! I can relate to your tufting struggles—starting out can feel like a rollercoaster! I remember my first time using a tufting gun; it was a borrowed one too, and it jammed halfway through a design I was super excited about. Such a bummer! After that, I decided to invest in my own, and I found that some guns just work better than others, especially for beginners.

From what I’ve seen, the ones with adjustable speeds are a lifesaver. As for yarn, I’d recommend starting with wool or acrylic blends; they’re easier to work with and give you a nice finish.
